Chefs Long Table Lunch Provides Life Saving Equipment

The Chefs Long Table Lunch has once again been instrumental in providing the local community with much needed resources and equipment. The Australind Ambulance Centre received $15,000 as one of the minor beneficiaries of the 2009 Chefs Long Table Lunch. The St John Ambulance Sub Centre has now purchased a life-saving defibrillator unit for a second on road ambulance that is due to arrive in November 2009.

The Chefs Long Table Lunch (CLTL) organising Committee is delighted to have granted $6,000 to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) for the purchase of a very special horse (called Top Hat, or Topper for short) and special, purpose built saddle for use at their South West Centre on the Bussell Highway, Gelorup.

The CLTL committee congratulates the RDA for their dedication and service, and for fulfilling a great need in the South West community. The CLTL committee members were most enthusiastic when their beneficiary research highlighted the enormous benefits that the RDA provides to members of the South West Community through various programmes such as Hippotherapy.
