International Hospitality
Scholarship
Applications for the 2010
International Travel Scholarship Program have closed and are soon
to be assessed. The scholarship is valued at $4,000 and
available to an apprentice chef who resides in the South West
Region of Western Australia and has chosen the food and hospitality
industry as a career.
The successful candidate will
be selected for their passion, dedication and enthusiasm for
the food and hospitality industry, and is expected to be
an excellent ambassador for the Chefs Long Table Lunch (CLTL) and
the South West Region of Western Australia.
Scholarships are not awarded
purely on an academic basis but also on a proven interest in the
field of hospitality. Any background study or work experience
will be viewed favourably.
THE
SCHOLARSHIP
Aims of the
Scholarship
- To broaden the education of
the award winner by gaining international training experience at
the Paul DuBrule School of Hospitality and Tourism in Siem Reap,
Cambodia.
- To enable the award
winner to be a culinary Ambassador for the
CLTL.
- To foster culinary and
cultural sister college relationships between the two countries
through the common thread of hospitality, friendship and
tourism.
- To work on a future program of
allowing the “exchange” of students and lecturers between the
colleges.
