2012 Major Beneficiaries

2012 Major Beneficiaries

The South West Youth Driver Development Program and Riding for the Disabled – Mornington Centre were announced as joint major beneficiaries of the 2012 Lunch at a City of Bunbury Civic Reception on the 28th September 2011.   Regrettably, the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Mornington Centre has since closed and therefore is no longer a 2012 major beneficiary.  [RDAWA is planning to develop a new Centre to cater for South West disabled riders in the near future.]

Chefs Long Table Lunch Invests in Youth

The Chefs Long Table Lunch has announced the successful major and minor beneficiaries of the 2012 charity event.

After an extensive review process the committee decided that an investment of up to $50,000 into Youth Driver Development would not only save lives, but make a significant contribution to young drivers in the South West.

Minor Beneficiary funds will be distributed to the following organisations:

  • Disability Services Support Group (Dad’s Camp)
  • Anglicare WA
  • Binningup Christian Youth Camp

The Chefs Long Table Lunch, held each year on the last Sunday in February, is the largest charity function in the South West Region.

Since its inception, The Chefs Long Table Lunch, run entirely by a small voluntary committee, has donated more than $434,000 to the South West community.

The event aims to encourage strong communities and families, positively impact on the lives of individuals and support the South West community.

The success of the Chefs Long Table Lunch relies heavily on sponsorship arrangements from South West businesses and organisations. All food and fine served on the day is generously donated from Western Australian producers.

Tickets for the 2012 event, to be held on Sunday 26 February, will be available online  in coming weeks at www.chefslongtable.com.au
